Eclipse feelings

ECLIPSE FEELINGS

As was written in the Bible:

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. (Luke 21:25)

The gravitational force of the moon is strong enough to pull the oceans back and forth across the face of the earth, causing the tides to rise and fall. It obviously then has a pull and affect on us emotionally and physically.

Intuitively, I know we are affected by the energies of the moon, sun, stars, and planets.

I’m diving into learning Exactly how historically, spiritually and scientifically.

As early as 3,000 years ago, the Babylonians were keeping records of celestial bodies movements on clay tablets and calculating the date and time of future eclipses.

Medieval Christians believed that Eclipses — being caused by natural processes set in motion by God during Creation — could be understood to signify distant events.

Celestial events were seen as a form of communication from God.

“During an eclipse, Dharma Prayer is the special method to not leak away the element’s energy that is the support for all beings”         Lama Dawa Rinpoche

Buddhist believed that the sun and moon radiates different subtle elemental energies that help to sustain life on earth. When there is an interference of this energy radiation, as during an eclipse, its effects can be observed and felt. It is a cessation of these vital energies. We can see this concept expressed by the word ‘eclipse;’ a Greek word that means ‘abandons’ in that the sun ‘abandons’ the earth during this time.

The vibe of eclipse season can be chaotic, intense, and possibly challenging, as we experience multiple rearrangements and revelations in a very short period of time.

According to some astrologers, that kind of powerful and destabilizing energy is not what you want to invite into your manifestation rituals. Instead, sit back, process the shifts, and allow the universe to do its thing without trying to intervene.

The intense energy is supposed to be felt strongest in the Taurus. Lucky me, I’m married to one 😳

Buckle up and surrender to the ride.

I am going to bust out my journal and do some reflecting and work on being the “observer” instead of the “doer” at this time.

What are your thoughts around eclipses? Do you honor any rituals around this time?
